Tour Rua - Island Combo

Tour Rua is for the traveller seeking pure adventure in the wild and a meaningful connection to a culture that protects it.

- Cruise past the Whangamatā Bar, a world famous surf break

The island combo will complete your kiwi holiday with culture, scenery, island walks and an idyllic lagoon in a favourite holiday town.  

Discover why strict customs protect this sanctuary, home to absent tuatara. This experience will showcase the beauty of the Pacific Coast Highway and why this is one of New Zealand's 'must do' travel experiences.

AGE - 12 years old and up. Children 12 - 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

FITNESS - You must be able to:

- walk 2 kilometres 

- climb up and down a steep 50 metre natural staircase

- walk a bush trail with uneven surfaces

- swim 25 metres unassisted (you will be provided a body board and fins for the paddle in)

- pull yourself up onto a boat, using a ladder, with no support 

GEAR

- Closed shoes are compulsory

- A water bottle, sun hat and rain jacket are recommended

- Swimwear and a towel. You are welcome to bring a wetsuit.

(Remember to have a change of clothes for after the tour)

BIOSECURITY - You will be asked to double check your footwear and gear are clean.

- Allow 3 hours for the whole experience
