Tour Tahi - Island Crossing

Tour Tahi - Island Crossing begins on New Zealand’s number one voted beach:

- Prepare to get wet on a beach hop from Whangamatā to Hauturu

- Climb up nature’s staircase 

- Walk the ecology trail with views along the Pacific Coast

Your visit helps protect the island ecosystem, culture and heritage. 

Allow 2.5 hours for an immersive ocean and forest experience on a predator proof island. 

$5 from every booking goes towards the Tunaiti Kaitiaki Roopu - guardians of the Whangamatā Islands and coastline. 

AGE - 9 years old and up. Children 9 - 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

FITNESS - You must be able to:

- walk 3 kilometres with ease

- climb up and down a steep 50 metre bush track

- walk a bush trail with big steps and uneven surfaces

 You must be able to support your own weight at all times

GEAR

- Closed shoes are compulsory

- A water bottle, sun hat and rain jacket are recommended 

(Remember to have a towel and change of clothes for after the tour)

BIOSECURITY - You will be asked to double check your footwear and gear are clean.

- Allow 2 1/2 hours for the whole experience
